The King’s Academy is pleased to announce the establishment of an International Program which will introduce its first students into our student body for the 2012-13 school year. TKA anticipates ten students from China, eight boys and two girls, will enroll in the fall and will be integrated directly into mainstream classes. These students will be seeking to complete their remaining high school years at King’s and go on to attend college in the United States. The King’s Academy has partnered with The Cambridge Institute of International Education to identify strong candidates and offer their expertise and comprehensive services in our student acceptance process. The students who attend The King’s Academy will be fully vetted and will even undergo a face-to-face interview process with personnel from the admissions office, secondary administration and the Headmaster via Skype.
It is King’s desire for the International Program to bring cross-cultural cooperation and cultural diversity as international students are given the opportunity to excel academically in our exceptional college preparatory program and as they develop lasting friendships with their American counterparts. Current TKA students will benefit from the International Program as they gain greater appreciation and awareness of global cultures. Students will be housed with families of current TKA students who understand the King’s philosophy and will provide warmth and support not found in traditional boarding programs.
In the future, The King’s Academy looks forward to hosting students from other countries around the globe. King’s is grateful for this opportunity to open their doors to the international community.
