After graduating from The King’s Academy in 2005, James Cima went off to the University of North Florida knowing that he wanted to somehow get involved with the student government there.

Now, as 2009 is coming to a close, he is able to look back over quite a career that he built while serving UNF’s student government.

James Paul Cima was born in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The son of James and Gloria Cima, James is one of four children. James attended The King’s Academy of West Palm Beach and graduated in 2005. James was involved in football, basketball, and track throughout his high school years.

James was elected into the Student Government at UNF as the Brooks College of Health Seat in fall 2007 and has been serving as a senator ever since. James was the Budget and Allocations Chair for the 2008-2009 term and was elected as Senate President for 2008-2009.

In addition to Student Government, James is also the President of the Exercise Science Student Association, vice-president external of the College Republicans club, treasurer of Converge Campus Ministry and the Chaplain of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. Upon graduation, James plans to pursue a career in chiropractic medicine.
