NFL Player Gives Back To The King’s Academy Athletic Program

Category : Uncategorized

The NFL Player Matching Youth and High School Football Grant Program allows current NFL players who make financial contributions to approved youth and/or high school football programs to receive matching YFF grants of up to $5,000 for those respective programs.

Heath Evans, NFL player for the New Orleans Saints, nominated The King’s Academy to receive $5,000 from the NFL Player Matching Grant Program.  Evans graduated from The King’s Academy in 1997 and went on to play for the NFL after his collegiate career at Auburn.  The $5,000 donation has helped with the purchase of football field equipment and field refurbishment.

“We greatly appreciate the generosity of Heath Evans and the NFL Youth Grant Program,” Adam Winters, Athletic Director, said.

The King’s Academy is a nationally recognized private Christian school serving approximately 1,200 students from preschool through twelfth grade and is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, the Association of Christian Schools International, and the Florida Association of Christian Schools.  The King’s Academy serves students and their families across Palm Beach County at its main campus at Belvedere Road and Sansbury Way in West Palm Beach and its satellite preschool campuses in Greenacres, Palm Beach Gardens, and Royal Palm Beach.
