The King’s Academy Cheer Squad Wins Hometown Battle At The Fairgrounds

Category : Uncategorized

On Saturday, January 30th, The King’s Academy Varsity competition cheerleaders competed against Seminole Ridge High School and Palm Beach Central HS in a head to head competition at the South Florida Fairgrounds.  The King’s Academy defeated SRHS and PBCHS in the non-tumbling division.

Jenn Allen, head cheer coach, and the 9-12 grade varsity cheerleaders are on the cusp of competing at the state championship on February 5th-6th.  The squad decided to compete at this competition to better prepare for the FHSAA Cheerleading State Championship in Kissimmee this weekend (February 5-6th) where they will compete against 58 other teams in the non-tumbling division (1A-6A).

After two mistakes in the first round performance, Coach Jenn reminded the girls of her favorite quote: “Life is 10% what happens to us and 90% how we react to it.”  The squad went on to perform a flawless 2nd round, winning the competition.

The King’s Academy is a nationally recognized private Christian school serving approximately 1,200 students from preschool through twelfth grade and is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, the Association of Christian Schools International, and the Florida Association of Christian Colleges and Schools. The King’s Academy serves students and their families across Palm Beach and Hendry Counties at its main campus at Belvedere Road and Sansbury’s Way in West Palm Beach, its Clewiston campus on Caribbean Avenue, and its satellite preschool campuses in Greenacres, Palm Beach Gardens, and Royal Palm Beach.  More information about The King’s Academy is available online at www.TKA.net.
