The King’s Academy Preschool Still Growing, New Facility In Lake Worth

Category : palm beach private school, private schools palm beach, the king's academy

In less than two years, The King’s Academy Preschool (“TKAP”) has grown from a startup operation to three locations in Royal Palm Beach, Greenacres, and Palm Beach Gardens serving over 90 two- and three-year old students.  In 2010, Mary Dulkowski, Preschool Director, and her staff expect continued growth and are excited to report the following new opportunities for King’s preschool families:

Lake Worth (new southern location): TKAP is opening a fourth location at West Pines Baptist Church, on the southeast corner of Haverhill Road and Melaleuca Lane, for the 2010-11 school year.  This new center will serve approximately 40 two- and three-year old students.  TKAP will continue to operate its center in Greenacres (Community Life Center) with a capacity for 53 two- and three-year olds.

Royal Palm Beach (Infants and 1-Year Olds Now Welcome): At one of TKAP’s existing locations (First Baptist Church of Royal Palm Beach), five new preschool classrooms have been constructed.  This expansion will allow TKAP to serve families with infants and one-year old children for the first time in addition to the classes currently provided for two- and three-year old students.  The newly constructed space will also increase the center’s licensed capacity from 57 to approximately 85 students.

Palm Beach Gardens (new Pre-K class for 4-year olds): At TKAP’s existing, north county center (Maranatha Church), a new pre-kindergarten class for four-year old students is being offered for the 2010-11 school year.  This class will be taught by a certified King’s teacher and will include the K-4 curriculum used on The King’s Academy’s main campus.  The location will continue to provide early education opportunities for two- and three-year old students.

As a result of the changes above, The King’s Academy Preschool will offer programs for infants to four-year old students at four locations throughout Palm Beach County.  This new expansion will also increase TKAP’s licensed capacity to over 250 students.  More information about The King’s Academy Preschool is available online at www.TKAP.net or by calling the preschool admissions department at 561-686-4244, extension 335.

Palm Beach Preschools Participate in Operation Christmas Child

Category : Uncategorized

Students at all three of The King’s Academy’s preschool locations (Palm Beach Gardens, Greenacres, and Royal Palm Beach) participated in this year’s Operation Christmas Child.

The King’s Academy Preschools partnered with their students and families in a very special Christmas time mission – to share with others less fortunate through Operation Christmas Child. Family members of all ages got into the true spirit of Christmas while participating in this simple, hands-on mission project.

The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to needy children around the world, and together with the local church worldwide, to share the Good News of Jesus Christ. Each family expressed appreciation in sharing this important lesson in the gift of giving.

“No child is ever too young to learn the act of caring for others. Compassion is one among the many qualities and principles we hope to help instill in our children. Our hearts were blessed to see our students SO excited to bring in their shoeboxes filled with items they selected to give away to another child! Mission accomplished!” Mary Dulkowski, Preschool Coordinator, said.

All of The King’s Academy preschool centers are open Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 6 PM to love, nurture, and educate its students.

Please contact The King’s Academy Admissions Office at (561) 686-4244 ext. 335 or visit www.TKAP.net for enrollment.

The King’s Academy Preschool Continues To Gain Praise In The Community

Category : Uncategorized

Only midway through its second year of existence, The King’s Academy Preschool has already opened 4 campuses throughout Palm Beach County. This new effort to bring high-quality education to children of all ages in the community has created quite a buzz. In addition, it has brought The King’s Academy a lot of attention from not only the business savvy minds of Palm Beach County but the families as well.

“Wow – bringing our son Matthew to TKAP has changed his life! We were very concerned with his developmental delay in speaking. After just a couple of months at TKAP we noticed such a huge change in him developmentally and in his behavior.  It was a complete turnaround! Thank you TKAP for giving the structure and education our son needed! We have been truly blessed with finding your school and wonderful teachers.  We are so grateful each day!” said Jeannette A., Royal Palm Beach TKAP parent.

Among the top private schools in Palm Beach, The King’s Academy is continuing to receive praise for its effort and focus on progressively increasing the positive impact it is making on its students lives.

“The reputation of The King’s Academy already preceded itself.  I had heard outstanding things about the school, and once we did the tour of the preschool we immediately knew that this would be the perfect learning environment for our son. Everything about the school has exceeded our expectations,” said Stephanie R., Royal Palm Beach TKAP Parent.

The King’s Academy continues to receive testimonials like these on a regular basis, proving that their efforts are producing positive results in abundance.

The King’s Academy Preschoolers Celebrate Pumpkin Day

Category : Uncategorized

The recent launch of The King’s Academy satellite preschools has been a buzz in the community. Both from a business and educational standpoint, this venture has proved to make some outstanding advances. Recently the preschooler’s of The King’s Academy celebrated the autumn season.

Summer is officially over, but the fun continues as The King’s Academy Preschool students spent the month of October learning about the fall season.

And what better way to celebrate autumn than with a Pumpkin Party packed with lots of creative and hands-on experiences! Students and teachers alike recently enjoyed a morning of special songs, stories and snacks followed by a visit from some very friendly (and familiar) scarecrows. Other activities included face painting, games, and a variety of art projects. Of course there were plenty of pumpkins to hunt, decorate, carve, and explore. Even the seeds were enjoyed after a cooking lesson on cleaning, drying, and roasting the tasty little treats! The kids just love the autumn season!

Private Preschools Palm Beach, The King’s Academy Leads The Way

Category : Uncategorized

The King’s Academy, one of the leading private schools in Palm Beach, is expanding its creative recruiting strategy for new students in Greenacres.

“They are getting into the preschool business setting up feeder schools. The idea is to get them young and get them in the neighborhood,” said Greenacres Planning and Engineering Director Tom Lanahan.

The Greenacres City Council unanimously approved land-use changes allowing the academy to open a new preschool at the West Pines Baptist Church at 4906 Melaleuca Lane at the intersection with Haverhill Road. This will be the second preschool for the academy in Greenacres.

The King’s Academy runs a school at 8401 Belvedere Road for children between kindergarten and 12th grade. But Randall Martin, the academy’s chief financial officer, said the school decided last year to get into the preschool business as well for children ages 2 and 3.

The business model for the academy is simple, he said. Originally they wanted to build their own preschool at the main campus. Then they realized that parents of young children want to be able to drop their kids off closer to home. So they are partnering with local churches and running preschools during the week in the classrooms the churches normally use for Sunday school classes.

“It is a cheaper way to get into doing preschools,” Martin said.

The academy isn’t paying rent to the churches, but does make donations to the churches it partners with, Martin said. The arrangement is also beneficial for the churches because it gets parents who might not be congregation members onto the church campus to pick up their kids and increases the chances of that family attending that church.

Greenacres City Councilman Chuck Shaw, himself a school principal, said the idea of setting up feeder preschools for the academy’s main campus is an “interesting marketing idea” and he hopes it works.

“There is always a need for more day care in the area,” he said.
